Walking in the rain, fab style and a surprise performance that brought tears to Katie’s eyes… Katie & Ned’s wedding was timeless and elegant with details that were both fun and functional (orange monogrammed clutches, white Kashmir pashminas, and yellow duck umbrellas– and that was just for the bridesmaids).  The colors complimented Bear Creek so nicely, and the moments they shared with their family and friends are irreplaceable.

This is Katie’s “something borrowed”– her father’s wedding gift to her mother, it still had the note inside!!! ^

So out of the blue, the “wedding guests” from the back of the room stood up and started singing “All You Need is Love”– turns out they were members of an a cappella group from Muhlenburg College.  Katie and her best friend, Jess (the matron of honor), watched this scene from “Love Actually” together and Jess could see how tickled Katie was by the performance, so she took the idea and ran with it with the support of a few others:

Pumpkins, flower boxes, mason jars and wheat were great for fall and really worked well with her venue ^

Ned’s dad, and best man, read the poem “If” by Rudyard Kipling (with a few adaptations to make it a marriage parody).  It was clever and touching.
