Tasty food, daring rides & sweet love at the Great Frederick Fair… let’s start with some eye candy 😉

The Frederick Fair was the perfect location for Brittany & Eric’s engagement photos!
It was one of their first official dates and one of Brittany’s favorite places to be.  Brittany loves the fair and has been attending “fair week” since she was a baby.  She even told her best friend that loving the fair was a major requirement for any serious relationship, haha.
Luckily for Eric, he appreciates the fair just as much as Brittany does, especially the food…

Eric is a huge fan of rides, and was especially excited to ride these swings in particular because they were incredibly high.  I love this perspective, such a unique angle!!!
You can actually see them on the swing in this photo– they are at 3:00!

Such a cute moment, I like how you can catch a tiny bit of the motion of the swing…

Brittany is a teacher and decided to schedule their engagement photos on “Fair Day” as she had off of school.  But, since all of the students in Frederick, Maryland also have “Fair Day” off so that they can attend the fair, she kept running into them.
She saw one of her kiddos from last year who had a total crush on her.  He saw her and waved and smiled at first, but then he saw Eric, his face was priceless!  Eric swore he was giving him threatening looks, haha.

I wanted to get a nice photo of Brittany & Eric alone together without all of the crows and  found a nice little spot where the sunlight was illuminating the leaves on the trees and perfectly rim-lighting the couple.
Brittany shared that Eric is a really down to earth, handsome, good guy– he has great manners and is so easy to spend time with.  They are such a cute couple!

The ring!  Brittany went with her father to the jewelry store to help him choose a Christmas gift for her mom.  While there, she totally fell in love with this unique ring, and mentioned it to her family.
When Eric reached out to her family for help choosing a ring, her sister showed him the exact one she fell in love with.  He popped the question and the rest is history.

I like how the sun is creating orbs of light in this photo, it really gives you a feel for the emotion that these two share.  They really are a perfect fit and seem so comfortable and natural doing anything together.

Fair food!  Brittany and Eric LOVE the food at the Frederick Fair, whether is pulled pork and corn bread at Pig Hole or apple dumplings at Just Desserts, Brittany’s family has family favorites that they re-visit annually.
Every once in a while they try something new, this year Brittany’s nephew discovered these amazing pretzel bites.  I thought putting them in the shape of a heart woudl be fun.  🙂

Family is incredibly important to these two, they meet Brittany’s parents every night on fair week to grab dinner or dessert.  It is not acceptable to eat “regular food” on fair week.  If someone can’t make it to the fair, another family member will pick up food and bring it home.
Once it got darker outside the whole fair was illuminated…

I really liked the colorful lights and thought they’d make a great background for this fair-loving-lovers :).  I used a shallow depth of field to bring the focus on Brittany & Eric.

Sunset…  It was a great day, and I know you have many many more of those in your future, guys!   
It was such a pleasure to get to see you two again and meet your parents and students, too!  Thanks so much for including me in on your corn bread and pulled pork dinner!  I am very excited to see you both at Springfield Manor for your wedding next year– it is going to be a beautiful day!
