New York City in the Rain

Tomorrow is the opening night of my fine art photography exhibit at the Shape gallery!  It will feature over 20 pieces, one of which is from this set.  Can you guess which one?  These photos were captured on a rainy day in New York City in December and feature my very dear friend, Melissa :).   You are welcome to join us for wine and hors d’oeuvres from 6-8 tomorrow for the photography and pottery exhibit at 20 W King St– hope to see you there!

This was the view from our window in the crown plaza in times square— such an awesome place and great experience!!!

Goodbye NY!

Pottery in the making: Our upcoming exhibit at SHAPE gallery

It is my pleasure to be sharing gallery space with the folks of Quiet Times Pottery for the month of February at the SHAPE gallery. You are all invited this Friday (Feb 3) at 6pm for a special opening reception with wine and horsd’oeuvres.  The exhibit will feature their pottery and my photos–ranging in subject from landscapes to the rainy streets on NYC at night.  I have several large 2×3 foot canvases and many smaller pieces as well.   The potters let me in on a behind the scenes look at their work and space and even let my little girl try her hand at the pottery wheel!  See if you can spy her tiny hands:

^ What a lovely view from the studio space!!!  See Marilyn enjoying the view?

* See you at the special opening reception on Friday at 6pm!

Hershey Engagement Photography: Natalie & Brian

Brian popped the question to his high school sweetheart, Natalie while they were enjoying their traditional visit to Hersheypark’s Christmas Candylane.   The lights and color were a real treat, as were the carousel, getting cozy by the fireplace in the lodge and sharing hot cocoa.  Natalie and Brian, I loved your playful spirits and relaxed attitudes– I can’t wait to see you again for your wedding!

campaign photo shoot: spicka for the house

It was my pleasure to photograph Susan Spicka for her campaign for the house of representatives.  She’s a down-to-earth mom & professional who is passionate about children & communities.  She is caring, friendly and likable.  I set out to capture the fullness of her character in one image and hope this does her justice :).

For more about her campaign, visit here.  Susan, congratulations on your nomination and  I wish you all the best in the upcoming election!

Runway Show for Madeline Gardner’s 2012 Collection at J&B Bridals

I was honored to photograph award winning designer, Madeline Gardner’s 2012 Bridal Collection at her runway show for Mori Lee available at J&B Bridals.  The dresses were nothing short of stunning and it was a pleasure to work again with the amazing J&B team– the people I trusted personally when it came time to purchase my own wedding gown!  There was literally something for everyone at the show.  Here are a few of my images from the runway:

^ check out all the detailing– so pretty!

The lighting design was by Eslinger Lighting Inc and Florals by Everlasting Love Florists.
