Lehigh Valley Engagement Photographer: Caroline & Adam

Caroline and Adam met me in a favorite park in the Lehigh Valley in mid-October.  We had many beautiful leaves to work with, a golden sunset, a cute crossword puzzle and a couple that is kind, loving, and smart.  I was surprised by the number of black and white shots that I really liked (I had expected all color) haha.  Caroline & Adam, it was a pleasure working with you both and I am very excited for your Spring wedding at Sayre Mansion!

They are crazy about crosswords– it is a special one that is custom-fit to their wedding day:

^ If you look really close you should be able to find them

Shippensburg Senior Portrait Photographer: Morgan

Morgan is an easy going, athletic senior with spirit.   She loves the outdoors and family is very important to her– so what better place to meet than at her family’s cabin in Raystown?  We visited several of her favorite locations and brought along her soccer ball and very special rose.    Morgan you are beautiful on the inside and out and I wish you all the best!  I had a blast working with Ryan, I’m so glad to meet more of your family!

The cabin– if you look very closely, you might see Morgan standing on the porch? ^

Friendly and fierce– that’s quite a combo! ^

Morgan brought this rose along in loving memory of her grandmother who passed a few days before our portrait session.  ^

Lehigh University Hotel Bethlehem Wedding Photographer: Pamela & Jose

From the stunning Linderman Library on the campus of Lehigh University (where they met) to crowd-surfing at Hotel Bethlehem, Pamela and Jose’s wedding was the perfect mix of classic elegance and just plain fun!  Family flew in from all over the country to be at their wedding, over a dozen people on Jose’s side had international flights from El Salvador, and I think you’ll agree it would be well worth the trip ;).   Pamela & Jose I wish you all the very best!

^ Their wedding rings on the wedding invitation 🙂

^ sisters, all have engagement rings and one has a wedding band as of the morning 😉

Jose is a fan of dice games even when he’s losing, yes that’s him singing 😉

^How dapper are these young men?  I love a classic tux!  Time for the ceremony:

Youngest ring bearer ever– just about 3 months!!!

^ This handsome guy in the top corner is Pamela’s “man-of-honor”, they have been friends  since Freshman year in highschool– he’s quirky, hilarious & straight (haha good to add that one in for the ladies, Bob– you are welcome 🙂 )  Below the groomsmen are doing Jose’s notorious superman pose:

Speeches were given by Pamela’s sisters and Jose’s brother:

A few members of their band, Bigg Romeo:

Jose’s dance with his mom ^

“Jose, Jose, Jose, Jose:”

And they lived happily ever after :).  Please leave a comment I’d love to hear what you think!

Lisa, you and your husband are amazing! Jose and I absolutely love every single one of your pictures as we knew we would from all of your other amazing posts but they are still even better than I could have imagined! Jose keeps telling me to stop being a tech-nerd on our Honeymoon but I just love re-living the day through your beautiful photography! You are so good that you even got a 3 month old baby to look directly at the camera, that is skill! Thank you so much!

Lehigh Valley Wedding Photographer: Katie & Ned at Bear Creek

Walking in the rain, fab style and a surprise performance that brought tears to Katie’s eyes… Katie & Ned’s wedding was timeless and elegant with details that were both fun and functional (orange monogrammed clutches, white Kashmir pashminas, and yellow duck umbrellas– and that was just for the bridesmaids).  The colors complimented Bear Creek so nicely, and the moments they shared with their family and friends are irreplaceable.

This is Katie’s “something borrowed”– her father’s wedding gift to her mother, it still had the note inside!!! ^

^ Inscribed rings, duck umbrellas and custom cuff-links for Ned

Time for the first look:

Their ceremony was moved indoors in case of rain:

So out of the blue, the “wedding guests” from the back of the room stood up and started singing “All You Need is Love”– turns out they were members of an a cappella group from Muhlenburg College.  Katie and her best friend, Jess (the matron of honor), watched this scene from “Love Actually” together and Jess could see how tickled Katie was by the performance, so she took the idea and ran with it with the support of a few others:

Pumpkins, flower boxes, mason jars and wheat were great for fall and really worked well with her venue ^

Ned’s dad, and best man, read the poem “If” by Rudyard Kipling (with a few adaptations to make it a marriage parody).  It was clever and touching.

Lehigh Valley Wedding Photographer: Christina & Tom

Christina and Tom are easy going Philadelphia Phillies fans– they actually attended game 5 of the world series together in 2008, yes that is the year the Phillies won the world series!    They brought along their tickets and met me at Allentown’s Cedar Beach Rose Gardens for their engagement photos– a gorgeous day and gorgeous couple.  I wish you two all the best and am excited to photograph your Bear Creek wedding in the spring!
