Skytop Lodge Wedding Photographer: Laini & Kyle

Laini and Kyle’s colorful garden wedding was held at the beautiful Skytop Lodge.  They had a bright, sunny day and added tangerine and pink tropical flowers (as a nod to their meeting at the University of Florida), wow do their colors pop!  They also incorporated several Jewish traditions and offered fun entertainment for the guests (archery, golf, pool, etc).   A huge thank you to my friend Jim for his assistance second-shooting this wedding!!!!

Did you notice the wedding date? ^^^

Here are a few of the Jewish traditions, below is the cup of wine and Laini being escorted by both parents when she meets Kyle beneath the Chuppah:

Skytop lodge uses antique locks and keys during their tradition where the bride and groom add their lock to the trellis on their wedding day.

While Laini & Kyle were out and about exploring the Skytop grounds together, their guests were enjoying hors d’oeuvres and sports 🙂

The Horah begins with a rather innocent seeming circle, soon the bride and groom are hoisted up on chairs surrounded by crowds of people, so much fun!!!!!

The festivities were followed by several touching toasts:

Laini and Kyle, I wish for the same measure of happiness and joy from your wedding day to follow you both throughout your lives!

We just shot here this past weekend! A huge and beautiful place. You did a fantastic job!

State College Wedding Photographer: Roxy & Eric the Arboretum at Penn State

To say Roxy and Eric are Penn State fans would be the understatement of the year.   Their Penn State themed wedding in State College, PA featured several PSU locations including Old Main, Beaver Stadium,  the Nittany Lion shrine, and their gorgeous ceremony location, the Arboretum at Penn State.   Roxy & Eric are authentic, fun and like to party, but I think I’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story. A huge thank you to my friend, Miguel for second-shooting this wedding with me, he’s awesome!!!

Eric wrote Roxy a heartfelt letter:

The bridesmaids were given matching pearl bracelets– below Roxy & her sister are holding her bouquet with the locket in memory of their father:

Love the socks!!!!!!

Eric & his dad:

The Penn State theme followed through to the reception, with blue uplighting on the walls and each table had the name a favorite place in State College as their table number, guests ate * delicious* paw print cupcakes, place cards looked like tickets to a football game, even her garter had a nittany lion on it.  This shows their nittany lion logo reception entrance:

This group knew how to party, even grandma strutted her stuff on the dance floor:

I think they hold the record for having the most fun with the bouquet and garter, hahahaha!

Their DJ, Jaime from house rockers, did a great job with getting everybody on the dance floor and changing up the atmosphere with lights and props.

Pittsburgh Engagement Photographer: Sarah & Jason

Sarah & Jason’s engagement session features a fun, chic couple, a beautiful summer day and the gorgeous city skyline of one of my favorite cities, Pittsburgh!  We started in station square and then took the Duquesne Incline up to Mount Washington where we could see the city & three sisters (yellow steel bridges) & explored a bit.  I could not get over the blue sky and all the lines and textures of the downtown.  Do I love my job?  Yes!

Wow….what a stunning photo shoot. The composition on these photos is so unique and creative, and such feeling and passion in the photos! Absolutely beautiful…

Chambersburg Family Photographer: Meet Mike, Laurie & Charlie

Baby-bump, mini-Snow White and sushi– as Laurie & Mike expect baby #2, they wanted to capture this time with their little girl, Charlie.  She is full of energy, humor, intelligence and affection– she’s a lover of princess dresses  and sushi (she’s much better than most adults at using chopsticks)!  Laurie and Mike, it was a pleasure getting to meet you and Charlie and I wish you all the best in the exciting months ahead!

I *love* this image:

Love that pregnant glow, Laurie you are gorgeous!!!

Laurie & Mike have always enjoyed going out for sushi together and they have been bringing Charlie along since she was a baby.  Charlie hopped right up, grabbed her chop sticks and started digging right in like a pro, so cute!

She even fed mommy!! haha

Thanks for checking out the pics– can’t wait to hear what you think!

Central PA Wedding Photographer: Meg & Ken

Meg & Ken’s Central PA Wedding was fun, playful and full of joy, color and emotion.   From the bride and groom swinging together at The Fallen Tree Farm Bed & Breakfast to bridesmaids playing a game of pick-up basketball in their persimmon lace dresses to getting down on the dance floor & a celebratory firework send-off, a fabulous time was had by all.  May this love and joy follow you two through the rest of your lives!

Guy’s wedding preparations vs. girl’s wedding preparations— hahahaha

Love the ladies reactions to seeing her in her dress!

Their first look (held at the Fallen Tree Farm B&B)

^  This is ***so*** them!

The party started immediately following the ceremony for the flower girls:

During the “Shoe Game” The bride and groom were asked a series of questions by the DJ– everything from “Who said ‘I Love you’ first?” to “Who will wear the pants in the family” as you can see their disagreements were a huge source of laughter among each other and the rest of the wedding guests.

Now for the garter & bouquet:

All danced out, the perfect time for sparklers!!!

Great GREAT shots, Lisa! Beautiful light, beautiful black and white… you know just the right way to take a picture. Super well done!

JessicaJuly 4, 2012 - 1:09 am

Oh my goodness, the last photo reminds me of Norman Rockwell, totally American, with theatrical passion. It is real, but it looks so artistic that you do a double-take.

Sarah EshlemanJuly 7, 2012 - 10:02 pm

KAren L PitteJuly 8, 2012 - 12:44 pm

Bridesmaids vs. Groomsmen prep made me giggle!
The first two collages stole my heart (I’m a sucker for detail).
The spontaneity captured in the pick-up basketball, flower-girl twirls, and “shoe-voting” convey *so much joy.*
Fantastic! Made me wish I was there .

[…] the best out there, we just love your work.  I also have worked with you before, for my sister, Meg’s wedding, so I know first-hand how great you are to work […]
