Shippensburg Senior Photography: Savannah Bell

Climbing trees barefoot, splashing in a creek, painting and cartwheeling across a scenic landscape– what a delight it was for me to work with Savannah.  She is a country girl through and through: from her playful spirit to her gorgeous golden locks and spunky attitude, she is absolutely one-of-a-kind.  My goal was to capture that on camera.

She wanted her little sister to be in a few shots with her.  They even made these flower crowns together before the shoot.

And then it started to rain… she embraced it wholeheartedly– completely unaffected!

She enjoys painting and sketching– check out the brushes hidden below 😉

She’s pretty athletic, too– I was impressed!

Wow Savannah – very nice! You are such a beautiful young lady!

Mungni: Indian Engagement Photography: Jamila & Jibran

Ornate henna, colorful saris, and two beautiful families joining together to exchange gifts, food and good wishes– what a delight it was for Kris and I to be a part of Jamila & Jibran’s engagement ceremony!  This is actually my first color-only blog post and I think you will soon see why…

Their first look:

Sisters 🙂

Jamila was lead in by her sisters and friends with a procession of candles and flower petals:

Their grandmothers are exchanging sweets as part of the ceremony:

Each family member circled this basket for flowers around the couple and presented them with gifts.

Jamila’s mother is giving Jibran’s brother a sweet and wishing him and his wife well.

The saris are beautiful– I could not get over the variety of colors, patterns and decoration, simply stunning, ladies!

Jibran loves the TV show “The Office”, so Jamila’s family created an Office-themed gift basket including this high-five worthy T-shirt:

“Yeah, whatever. No big deal. The hottest girl in the world loves me.” I think Jibran agrees with Michael on that one.

Jamila’s friends are located throughout the country but they met together and created a special dance for her and Jibran.

Taha’s speech was funny!  You can almost almost read it for yourself through the paper ;).

I’d love to hear what you think, please feel free to leave a comment below!

Jibran is my cousin and I was sad I was unable to be at this event, thank you so much for capturing it so wonderfully!

Shippensburg Engagement Photography: Rachel & Chris

She works at a pharmacy and he’s a high school teacher & football coach.  They enjoy shopping, sports and their dogs, most of all– they love each other.   Walking the dogs and stopping by a pond at sunset seems ordinary enough, but I think you’ll find that there is something special here:

Thanks for checking them out, I’d love to hear your comments!

Chambersburg Family Photography: Meet the Callaghan family

Their family is spread across the US & abroad—what to do when they are all together?  Have a family photo-shoot with kids, parents and grandparents, and yours truly– brilliant!   Swings, balloons, bubbles—does life get any better than this for little ones?

Pier Village Beach Engagement Photography: Kathleen & Jeff

Palm trees, wine & sparklers under the boardwalk– this engagement session was romantic, fun and the company was absolutely charming.  They enjoy the beach, going out for dinner/drinks together and Jeff proposed to Kathleen during the fourth of July fireworks (wait until you see the ring!)  What better place to Incorporate these elements than Pier Village in Long Branch?   Enjoy!
