Shippensburg Engagement Photographer: Jenny & Tim’s at Toigo orchard

Jenny and Tim are pleasant, kind and just a joy to be around.  We found a perfect little spot in Shippensburg for thier apple-themed engagement– toigo orchards— a small farm with a relaxed country feel that fit this couple perfectly and gorgous grounds including a pretty view of the trees and sunset.  Jenny and Tim I wish you all the best and am excited to photograph your lehigh valley wedding next year!

                                                                                                                                Save the date ^

Jenny is a teacher, so the chalkboards and apples were a cute fit. 😉

A nod to Tim’s proposal–  I love how it looks like you can reach out and touch her ring!

Penn State Family Photography: Carolyn’s PhD Commencement Celebration

Carolyn has been working on her doctorate ever since we have met, so when she contacted me to capture her family gathering together to attend her doctoral commencement, I was definitely excited.  I had met her husband’s family last year for a family photo, and this year her family would be in attendance upon her receipt of her Penn State PhD.  We had a good mix of fun, traditional portraiture and Nittany Lion spirit.

We ended with a Carolyn-Drew-Eric group hug  again (its neat to see how much Drew has grown since last year) and a special moment with Eric and Drew.  Callaghan family, thank you again- it is always a pleasure!!!

Harrisburg Engagement Photographer: Kerri & Tim

This fun-loving couple was a blast to photograph—from playing cards to releasing balloons and playing guitar, these two are a perfect pair.  They have a refreshing, playful attitude and are just as whitty as they are adorable together.  Kerri grew up spending time on her parents boat, so she knew incorporating docks would be key, Tim played a lot of card games with his family growing up, so we knew we’d want to fit those in as well.

save the date, folks ^^^  (told you they were clever!) 😉

Kerri is teaching Tim guitar– man, I love their hair ^^^

I *love* this shoot: tender, graceful, contemplative, sweet, playful. It makes my heart soar like those balloons!

Could you two be any cuter?! Beautiful pictures. Good job, photog!

Shippensburg Senior Portrait Photographer: Madeline

There is a depth and surreal-ness to Madeline.  She is a free spirit and offers a unique perspective that is truly her own.  Her words are genuine and her thoughts are deep and often unexpected, her point of view is beyond interesting.  One of her favorite places to hang out is the Thought Lot, it is everything from an art gallery to farmers market to local music venue, so it was a perfect place to start our shoot.

Madeline is Vegan, so incorporate fruits and veggies was key. 😉

^A little yoga

All she needs are wings here ^

Oh wow.. These are absolutely incredible. You captured her spirit wonderfully. The one of her sitting on the fallen tree is gorgeous! Well, they all are really. Awesome!

I would love to see more of this shoot! Madeline is captured beautifully in your images. I feel her presence most in the two B/W’s with the dandelion and the hand-art play. How such a tiny part of her becomes her whole being is a blend of your talent, Madeline, and your special relationship with each other.

Madeline has such beautiful eyes!! Your description of her at the beginning is spot on. The faerie pose pic is amazing! The yoga pic is also incredible. Love!

These are amazing Lisa! Thank you again. You did an incredible job at really capturing Madeline’s spirit and beauty. So many of her interests and loves captured in a gorgeous manner. (I’m just surprised not to see one with her ukulele….yet??) Wonderful!

Shippensburg Senior Portrait Photographer: Logan

Soccer and pole vaulting?   A cool old rusty bridge out in the country?  Yes, please!  Meet Logan– he’s mellow and could probably make anyone feel comfortable just being around him.  He also has a fiercely athletic side as well– when I was asking him to show me some of his soccer abilities, pole vaulting, etc (even with an injury) I was nothing short of impressed.  Logan I wish you all the best in your future endeavors!!

Yes, this is his *actual* eye color

He’s also very tall, I tried to capture that a little here ^

Now for the pole vault– even though he isn’t running yet, you can already kind of see that drive/spark I was talking about. 🙂

I had the concept for the shot below before actually arriving in person– the big difference in person is that, well, when you are lying belly-up on a  mat and someone who is a great deal bigger than you is running at you with a  12+ foot pole then hovering above you, well you feel a little differently.  That being said, after I watched him jump a few times and took a bit of a leap myself, I think it was worth it. 🙂

Very nice Lisa. Love the story on the last shot & that pic. Logan with the tree my fave.
