Gettysburg Wedding Photography: Aubrey & Tom at the Gettysburg Hotel

Aubrey and Tom are very much in love, and their closest friends and family got to see that for themselves at the historic Gettysburg Hotel.  Everyone was so taken by them and that is what stands out most to me about thier wedding day.  The Gettysburg Hotel is located in the center of town at 1 Lincoln square, built in 1797, it is the real deal– wait until you see the ceilings in the grand ballroom…

^ Tom tended bar here while he was in college

^ Not only were her shoes super comfortable, but they also say that she is “Tom’s”   😉

 The first look…

^ Silhouetted tears

See what I was saying about the ceiling?  Now for the vows– how happy are they?

^ Love this little girl’s reaction to their affection 😉

^ It is beautiful to see a couple so in love , everyone was so taken with them.

^ These guests are thoroughly enjoying Aubrey & Tom’s first dance– many are standing and grinning ear to ear.

Tom dancing with his mom– I love the big hug below, you can almost feel it right through the screen, no?

Time for the garter and bouquet toss…

Check out  the lasers and fog brought by DJ Derek Romanoff –he was great to work with.

And they lived happily ever after 😉

Great set of photos! Love the shot with Grandma!

Bear Creek Engagement Photography: Courtney & Nick

Snowball fights snowmen and warming up by the fire– it’s hard to believe this engagement shoot was only a few weeks ago!  This athletic couple met at KU where Nick was playing college football and Courtney was cheering.  They are fun and playful– I think you’ll be able to see that for yourself in the photos!  Their wedding will be at Bear Creek Resort, so when we started talking about a winter engagement shoot, I knew it would be a perfect location. 🙂

Revenge is sweet, haha snowball fight!

Our New Wedding Albums: Italian Leather, Japanese Silk & Photo Covers

So you’ve fallen in love with the quality of our photos, wait until you see (*and feel*) our new wedding albums, seriously– they are amazing. You really have to hold this in your hand to feel the quality of the materials, but this is the next best thing.  Options include heirloom: Italian leather, Photo cover, Japanese silk and fabric.  You have dozens of colors to choose from as well as options of cameo photo cut-outs and debossing options as well.  I have searched for years to find albums that have both quality prints on the inside and outside of the album–  here they are:

Here is Nathalie and Michael’s Japanese silk 12×12 bridal album with cameo cut out:

The silk is actually wrapped around the cut out and the photo beneath is actually part of the cover itself (not a peek-through):

Here is our Italian Leather album in mocha nabuk (this velvety finish is absolutely dreamy) with debossing.

Debossing uses heated dies to press the letters of your names into the cover:

The photo cover is crisp, clear and crafted to last.  This shows a black and white image, but we could use color as well:

The clarity of the photo wrap print nearly looks three dimensional:

Now *this* is how you bind an album!  😉

Pages are thick, and printed fuji crystal archive paper:

The color is vibrant and beautiful & the lay-flat binding allows photos to span over two pages.

The fold in the page is barely noticeable– if you look very very closely between Jake and Stef in this cropped in version you might see  the fold:

There are literally dozens of colors to choose from here are just a few:

Thanks for taking the time to check out our wedding albums, feel free to contact us at the link above for more information.

Gettysburg Engagement Photography: Aubrey & Tom

Aubrey and Tom met as students at Gettysburg College.  Aubrey worked in the Musselman Library on campus and Tom tended bar at the Gettysburg Hotel, we visited the Musselman Library for our shoot and their wedding will be held at the hotel ;).  Their rainy day engagement session resulted in gorgeous color-bouncing puddles, an inside-out umbrella and even initials on a steamy window.

Thanks for checking out this love story–  I’d love to hear your thoughts in a comment below!

New York City in the Rain

Tomorrow is the opening night of my fine art photography exhibit at the Shape gallery!  It will feature over 20 pieces, one of which is from this set.  Can you guess which one?  These photos were captured on a rainy day in New York City in December and feature my very dear friend, Melissa :).   You are welcome to join us for wine and hors d’oeuvres from 6-8 tomorrow for the photography and pottery exhibit at 20 W King St– hope to see you there!

This was the view from our window in the crown plaza in times square— such an awesome place and great experience!!!

Goodbye NY!
