Elegant, classic and fun– Amie & Dave’s wedding day included a timeless setting and attire as well as a fantastic reception that featured both the Hora (Jewish traditional chair dance set to the Hava Nagila) and the Polish Wedding dance (set to the Polka, shots and all!). The wedding guests and attendants were spontaneous and fun-loving, it was an absolute pleasure to photograph this wedding at the Bent Creek Country Club.
^ You can even read the engraving on their cake knife
During the Polish wedding dance, the wedding guests surround the bride and attempt to keep the groom out. (Above) the groomsmen charge the crowd to assist the groom. (Below) The groom breaks through the crowd. In the end he reached his bride and began the American tradition of the garter/bouquet toss.
^ As the Hava Nagila is playing Amie is raised on a chair and evidently is having the time of her life. Dave seems to think he is too, but the men lifting him (perhaps after all those shots taken during the Polish wedding dance) raise his chair right beneath the chandelier– ouch!
Dave took it like a champ though, but the entire set of a dozen photos or so of the event unfolding are absolutely priceless.
