This unique Lehigh Valley wedding included a traditional Filipino dance and surprise wedding guest that had the entire dance floor cheering…
Rachel and David contacted me looking for wedding photography with a “wow” factor. They wanted creative photos that were filled with emotion. They wanted photographs that would capture all of the beauty and excitement and allow them to re-live it for years to come.
The image above offers an interesting perspective of the couple vibrantly silhouetted in what appears to be a gravity defying scene. I hope that it has the “wow” factor that Rachel was seeking. The next photograph is one with a lot of heart (for you, David). Here you can almost feel Rachel’s emotion and all of the textures that fill this frame:
Rachel’s mother and maid of honor helped her to dress, their joy is almost palpable…
Rachel and David wanted a simple, elegant wedding and chose a color palette of navy with gold accents…
David shared that he thought Rachel looked beautiful and had a radiant smile that seeing his bride made him incredibly happy and grateful.
David is a Lehigh University Alum while Rachel is a Penn State graduate. Here you can see the ladies sporting Penn State Colors (blue and white) with the stunning Lehigh University campus in the background. Such a perfect fit for these two!
Rachel is an intelligent, confident young woman who is following her dreams of medical school, which David is fully supporting.

Now it is David’s turn to get all dressed up…
Rachel shared that David is her best friend. He has a great sense of humor and can always make her laugh, he is calm, supportive and incredibly loving. They are better together than they could ever be apart…
The groomsmen were an interesting cast of characters…
They were so much fun and up for absolutely anything– here they are photo-booth style– the best man is in the center…
I told you they were high-energy and up for anything. We haven’t done a jumping photo in a long time, but this was definitely the perfect group for it! They got some serious height!
The ceremony began with Rachel’s mother escorting Rachel down the aisle of Packer Chapel. The architecture there is stunning, but what stands out even more to me in this photograph is Rachel’s mothers’ hand as she blots tears from her eyes…
So happy together… Again I love all of the breathtaking woodwork and stained glass, but pure joy that you can see on Rachel & David’s faces and those of their friends are what the day was all about…
Following the ceremony, wedding guests gathered outside of Packer Chapel and welcomed the happy couple with hundreds of bubbles…
Two of those guests were David’s parents who were married on Lehigh campus almost 30 years ago!

I love to photograph the bridal party in a chic, modern way, and am inspired by spreads in Vogue and Vanity Fair. Rachel and David’s bridal party pulled it off beautifully!
Time for Rachel and David to spend some time alone….
They moved from Lehigh University to Riverview Country Club in Easton, Pennsylvania. Honestly though, with the lush greenery and style of the footbridge and gazebo, it almost passes as a tropical island…
They shared that they look forward to spending the rest of their lives together, experiencing new things together and even starting their own family…
Rachel and David embraced this Filipino tradition, which is meant to give a couple good fortune…
The speeches were lovely, but this moment was incredibly touching– her maid of honor started to get a little emotional and Rachel stood by her side while she finished her toast…
Bouquet toss– I love how you can see the blur from the motion of the bouquet and everyone’s expressions, too…
Now for the surprise guest– I shared that Rachel is a huge Penn State fan, she is also a planner and had meticulously planned most elements of the day, but this was one element that took everyone by surprise…
Rachel literally doubled over laughing when she saw *the* Penn State Nittany Lion walk ont the dance floor. Everyone started chanting “We are” “Penn State”– it was one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments, so fun!

And they lived happily ever after…
